DIY Superfood Face Mask

We could talk skin all day but when it comes down to it Mother Nature knows best. This super food face mask you could grow in your own backyard will leave your skin feeling soft, supple, and smooth.


The Science:


Cucumbers are high in vitamin C and caffeic acid which fight to reduce inflamed or irritated skin.


Honey contains antioxidants, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties removing dirt from your pores. It also hydrates and tightens skin pores for a clear complexion.


Rosemary has anti-aging properties providing your skin with iron, calcium, and several essential vitamins.


Basil has antioxidants that protect the skin from environmental stressors, reducing appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.


Olive Oil contains the skin-healing vitamin K and squalene which help to plump, soften, and hydrate the skin.


The How To:


Ingredients:

1/2 cucumber, peeled 1 to 2 teaspoons raw, local honey 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves 1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tablespoon fresh basil leaves


Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a blender to form a creamy substance

2. Apply to clean neck and face for about 20min

3. Rinse off with luke warm water

4. Apply toner and moisturizer
