Feng Shui Tips that can help You Jump Into Spring

A good, deep spring clean-up is a tradition that not only promotes wellness by keeping your environment clean and organized, but it also helps carry the fresh-start feeling brought on by a new year well into the summer. Applying feng shui to indoor and outdoor spaces can help create a new sense of calm and balance.

Feng shui is meant to help bring chi, life energy, into our homes. This energy brings positivity to all aspects of our lives such as wealth and relationships. This energy can be affected by the state of our living spaces. A cluttered and dirty living space leads to blocking chi energy.

Here are a few Feng Shui tips that can help you jump into Spring:

  1. Declutter your Home: Donate to give away any items you no longer use. This is a great way to let go of all the things that no longer serve you.

  2. Wash and open windows: Dirty windows lead to blurry perceptions of the world. Windows are also a way of letting out bad energy and letting in good energy. Everything about your windows should be bright and sparkly. Clean your shades and curtains.

  3. Clear the Fridge: Empty the refrigerator and remove anything expired, old, and/or spoiled. Spoiled and expired food symbolizes neglect of one’s overall health.

  4. Deep Clean the House: Use essential oils to clean your house from top to bottom. It's very important to clear your front door, all the corners of your home, and all dust. The idea is to clear out old energy and make room for the new!

  5. Bring in some Earth: Bring in arm-loads of fresh, fragrant flowers in bright, happy colors and place them in your bedroom, dining room, living room, kitchen, and office. Float orchid or chrysanthemum blossoms in glass fish bowls or gorgeous vessels.

Whether you’re doing your annual cleanup or a weekly deep clean, add these tips to your list, and don’t forget to share them with a friend.
