Bye-bye Botox and hello face yoga, a new trend to reduce wrinkles and make the appearance of your face look younger overall. Face yoga is non-toxic, non-invasive and safe for anyone, plus it's inexpensive and you can do it at any time! But does it actually work? In short yes, although you do have to be committed to a daily routine.
In facial fitness, you will learn how to wake up the muscles in your face for brighter, even, and more toned skin. When you continuously work out the muscles in your face (just like any muscle) it begins to smooth out wrinkles, fill the cheeks, and lift any saggy skin. If you can tone your abs then why not your face?

For a young, fresh, glowing skin try this routine at home:
Lion Face

Lion Face stretches the facial muscles and releases tension. Inhale through the nose. Exhale through the mouth sticking tongue out far and opening eyes wide. Repeat 5 times.
Smiling Fish Face

Firm and tone your cheeks and lips. Smile while slightly pursing lips. Withdraw and pinch your cheeks into the hollows of your face as you do so. Repeat 5 times.
BumbleBees

Works cheeks, lips, and jaw. Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth as you make a humming sound while allowing your lips to vibrate. This allows muscles to relax and blood to flow better. Repeat 5 times.
Blowing Kisses

This keeps lips stong and brow smooth. Try to aim for 100 a day. You can do them throughout the day, even while driving in the car!
Baby Bird

Firms jaw, neck, shoulder muscles, and helps reduce the appearance of a double chin. Tilt the head back. Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth and swallow. Tilt head to the lift and swallow then to the right. Repeat 5 times on each side.
So go ahead and give this unusual and not so familiar workout a try, you've got nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.
