
Rainbeau's At-Home Workout Guide
Break out your yoga mat and try these Yoga poses for the ultimate at-home workout. Follow these series of simple guidelines that demonstrate some various yoga positions and take your workout to the next level. Start slow and work your way up to the more advanced postures. We also recommend that you consult with a certified yoga instructor to ensure proper technique and to check your alignment. Work out your body and your spirit - Namaste.
Downward Facing Dog
a. Start on your hands and knees. Stretch your elbows and relax the upper back between the shoulder blades.
b. Spread your hands and feet shoulder width apart and press them firmly in to the floor, lifting your pelvis towards the ceiling to create and upside down "v" shape.
c. Slowly lift your leg so it is in line with your straight back, while continuing to press your hands and right foot firmly into the floor.
d. Return your leg to the original position after 30 seconds and repeat for the right leg.
e. From your original starting position, lift your leg off of the floor, bending your leg and bring your knee towards your forehead.
f. Hold for 30 seconds and return your left leg to the original downward facing dog.
g. Repeat steps for your right leg.
