On a Plane from Vancouver to San Francisco – Yoga to be in the Olympics- Yup – I’ll say it.

Moved, inspired, and grateful for so many things right now that I am not exactly sure where to start, but here it goes.
I breathe, believe, and receive; from my heart, in gratitude is where I start.
I want to say thank you for all the leaders in the world that work so hard with undying passion and commitment. Do whatever you are doing with focus, commitment and love for what you are doing. Thanks for giving us smiles, laughter, tears, and other emotions that we did not even know were in our hearts at the moment, until you came into our vision, shining your light so bright. You are stars and are here to remind us, that we all have this same brightness inside of us as well.
I am so happy that I got to see all the Ice Skaters close up, as we were in the front row next to the judges. I want to thank my relationship with adidas for that, adidas France in particular, as well as the French Olympic Delegation for inviting me as their guest with open arms, warm smiles, respect, and class. I was blown away to have this experience first hand and so moved to see some of the most extraordinary athleticism that there is. These women and men train an average of 9 hours a day leading up to the Olympics, using everything they have– blood, sweat, tears and doing the impossible. The grace, power, courage, and shameless openness to pure beauty is mind blowing to me. At the same time, I am also enthusiastic about the fun sport of Hockey, loved watching the fierce women play so HARD and all the records that were broken at the Speed Skating competition. You guys all rock and I thank you all for raising the bar for us all, including myself.
What I am about to say will be criticized possibly and as I know, the more people know about me, the more I have to deal with letting go of everyone liking me, or necessarily agreeing with me… so here goes. I feel that Yoga (as a sport) should be in the Olympics and this is why:
It could allow countries like India to show us how it’s done.
It could be judged based on grace and non-competiveness as well as focus, stillness and breath.
It could inspire people around the globe about a whole new way to practice a sport.
It is a sport that everyone can approach.
It is a sport that is healing and therapeutic for all other sports.
It is a sport where one breaks their own records.
It is a sport where Self is the captain, Coach and Cheer Squad
It is a sport where Success is measured in millimeters and breaths.
It is a sport where ones state of health, longevity and correct alignment rather then stressing out the joints could place a new bar of inspiration for all athletic arts.
Okay, so, I am not so brilliant to have made all that up. Some of those were the concept/campaign that the amazing PR, marketing team for adidas did when I did the global Play Yoga campaign. I will continue to strive and share this message in all the ways that I can, applying all the tools and gifts from the great partnership that I had.
This is just one spoke of what I know I am here to continue to share; there are more. I feel very proud of my own dedication to excellence and will only continue to grow in every single area of my life. I thank you for your support on so many levels. ra’yoKa is growing and its been an amazing process to do this– just us little guys, without the help of a big distributer. Thank you for the support of the DVD and all your very cool testimonials. This is only the beginning.
Shifting gears to my workshop – I feel so blessed to be able to teach teachers which we are all, as well as students which we all are. I feel beyond privileged to be able to share the light that has led me through and out of so many darker moments in my life and support people in doing the same for themselves and each other.
Lets Hold on, have each others backs, push, inspire, and encourage each other to take the next leap, the next step, and to go FURTHER. I love you all… I NEED YOU ALL. I THANK YOU ALL. And I send you my deepest and most sincere best wishes.
Getting off the plane to teach in San Francisco tomorrow. I will teach today @ 1:00 @ YOGATREE and I am excited to do so. See some of you there.
Blessed Be,
Rainbeau
