There Is No Place Like Haum

Home -

Its where the heart is. Where you hang the hat. Where we can fall apart. Let go and or celebrate just having our little corner of the world that we can call our own.

For the past three years I have been either planning the next trip, being on the trip and giving it 150 percent, or taking the time to recover from it, by letting go completely – hanging out with my loved ones, responding to major fires that need to be out out and then shortly there after, starting it all over again.

Aum -

All the sounds of the universe singing together at once.

Harmony and sound Healing.

At times, my Vata (Ayurvedic for air) tendencies get exasperated/out of balance, I struggle to make it to the next task, not feeling quite caught up – symptoms are misplacing items, forgetting to do things, feeling dehydrated, ungrounded or just spaced out. I realize that the most important thing for me to do is to find internal balance and therefore it shows up in the external. I have done the best I can to keep up with my beyond ordinary schedule and still stay grounded and organized, but I must admit it’s time to find peace and haum and some of my symptoms have begun to manifest themselves, like not having time to practice because there is too much to do. If this is you, I remind you as I remind myself, that if we are not breathing, we have gone too far… : ) I have realized that this is the gift that I need to give myself, family, and the rest of the people that I’m connected to in the world in someway for this final chapter in 2009. I am dedicated to recalibrating, reorganizing, reformatting and settling into that place we call Haum/home. I will do this with the things I said before, while also increasing my physical practice, dietary replenishing of superfoods, meditation and by continuing to lay out my continuous stream of vision on to paper.

VISION BOARDS – I love to do this in collage form and it’s one of my favorite things to do in preparing for the new year. Go through each corner and find what we don’t need and let it go. Clean out the drawers and all the trunks and closets and organize all the things that got dismissed in the doing, rather than being. I am excited to have a “Giving It All Away” party (where I give away everything I have not or not see myself using in the next six months) and invite you to do the same. Have a clothing swap – your old things can be someone else’s exciting and new. its a great thing to do along with a cleanse – which my colleague’s and are will be starting our three week ra’yoKa cleanse on Tuesday.  Please feel free to join along (the basic details are in the ra’yoKa DVD, but we are in the process of offering a more thorough, refined version shortly into the new year). Based on results, I am so excited to have this program at my fingertips and in my life, as it helps open and clear every aspect of the rest of my life.  I am excited to witness the new member of the RML team on it.

My mother always said, never empty… never full. Its kind of like, when one door closes then another one opens. Use up the old to make room for the new… I think these are all along the same light. What fun things do you have lying around that can be recycled and reused to make some fun holiday gifts? Are there glass bottles or boxes that can be made into nice containers for Holiday bath salts or a nice potpourri mix that can be made with essential oils and some flowers in the garden you want to dry?  There are tons of beauty recipes in my mothers book Beauty By Nature and making arts and crafts was always a way of life around my household. We can use the old paints for beautiful cards to loved ones, recycle pictures from old magazines for wrapping paper or my favorite, MAKE A NEW YEARS VISION BOARD. Use an old silk jacket that is no longer usable for eye pillows. Use glitter and ribbons for decorating or really get creative, use what you have and find ways to beautify it, by putting in your time and energy and gift it to someone you love.

I am excited to spend the next few weeks organizing our home and giving it all away and in response to this very strong urge, have decided to take all traveling off my schedule until further notice. We here at RML need time to birth our vision boards, organize what we have not been able to get to and clearly organize our content and vision going into the new year. The next trip I will take will be a day in San Francisco for a View by The Bay appearance and like all things, I will give it 100 percent. I will celebrate trips that take less then a couple of hours to fly and I will focus on how I can give more of who I really am.

I will be organizing my content, preparing to teach more teachers ra’yoKa and provide a time and space to share, learn, and activate as we at our core group bring this all in with a cleanse and organization for teachers workshops and trainings.

I love our home and I am beyond excited to activate it, be here and give even more from the core of what I really came here for.

Blessings and Happy HOLY DAYS.
