Deeply nourished and integrating a profound shift from my indescribable, trans-formative experiences in India – I search to find the essentials that I am dedicated to sharing with you. I feel so wealthy being back in the beyond comfortable Los Angeles. At the same time, I can’t wait to return to stay in the beautiful monastery longer and to take in more of the vast, colorful richness that the mother of ever expanding India provides. With poverty and disease so close to your reality, you have nothing to do, but fill up with more compassion, empathy and the nature of giving more. Don’t get me wrong – I am genuinely appreciating the warmth and comfort of home, family and amazing food – and yet – feel a sense that there is so much more we could do to activate our communities, each other and selves, here and now. So much to share, where to begin?

As some of you know, I have recently returned from a remote village in India to receive the Buddha Maitreya Initiation (enlightenment ceremony) given by the Dalai Lama and study with my teacher Juan Ruiz, the creator of the Pneuma system (breath awakening).  I am blown open in a way that I don’t know how to communicate and am in prayer that as I put myself together again, I remain in resonance with everything that I experienced and learned. The breath that is not ours, that we must expand to embody and therefore surrender the egos. Colors, light, vibration, healing, the power of thought, energy and all of our subtle bodies harmonizing as one. Internal expansion and space holding for the entire mother Gaia.

On a more practical level, I can say that the Dalai Lama’s and his numerous disciples’ teachings focused on compassion, loving kindness, tolerance, emptiness and a mind blowing amount of abundance – not in the sense of grasping, but rather allowing all we have to circulate through us and around us for healing. The monks held such a beautiful space of diligent, focused, disciplined grace and honor as they lovingly and warmly treated us like family allowing us to share with them everything they had. I only wanted to be able to give more to them and was brought to tears when they continued to apologize for their humble accommodations. For in all the humility and simplicity I experienced, I felt an incomparable richness that could not measure up to a single 5 star hotel I have had the luxury of staying in. We (consisting of followers of Juan from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Vancouver and our very own Los Angeles) were awe struck at the loyal dedication they had to their studies, focus, debates, beautification, endless service and pure presence.  It takes a tribe to raise a child, but one child to raise a tribe – in this case, these children with their refreshing songs, prayers and presence, I think are raising us all up. Thank goodness for the Tibet, that does not just exist in China, but around the world. It’s because of these peoples endless compassion and grace that the teachings of his Holiness and the long lineage from which he comes that we all can have the beauty of this work in our hearts and lives.

All this and I want to also say that in essence, I believe that we all still have a lot to teach each other. For instance holy matrimony and finding ones soul mates, can be a true step in igniting more light in our lives. I feel called to begin to share what I have been learning about the art of sensual loving and embracing our sexuality as a vehicle for enhanced grace and beauty, rather than an indulgence of our senses. Please look out for trainings on the art of sensuality coming soon – with enough interest, we will also have my mama fly in to break down all the alchemical possibilities as well. I feel the urgency to be awake right now and to invite you all to walk with me. I feel a calling to remind us all to be CRYSTAL CLEAR with out thoughts and and frequencies, for our beliefs really do create our realities. And to remind you, that we are from the future – and the future is now. You are here for a reason. We are in this together.

Please note, this is not a restrictive, stringent cleanse in which you must subsist on liquids or small amounts of food. The first week is an elimination diet focusing on substituting and/or releasing white sugar, flours, gluten with attention to eating vegan for 21 days. The following 7 days focus on eating live, activated high enzymatic foods to facilitate cleansing while increasing energy. The last 7 days, attention is on blended foods, easing the constant digestive burdens we put our bodies through and aiding the digestive process with the easy assimilation of nutrients blended foods make available. Twenty Eleven has the pace of new times. If we are not part of the solution – we are actually part of the problem. As “my people” I know you are all doing everything possible. Here are a few bonus tips for extra remembering.

We just finished the highly successful 1 Week Live Food Chef Certification Class, pictures will be posted shortly, and we are on the final week of our 3 week Fresh Start Cleanse. I love that I feel closer to many of you, but especially those of you that have been participating with us in our ra’yoKa teachers trainings, GLOBAL CLEANSE or courses (virtually or in person). I feel like a citizen of earth and know that we are all in this together. Being part of the 3 week Fresh Start program in particular always enhances manifestation, clarity, self awareness, love and did I mention glowing skin and ideal weight? Be encouraged, optimistic and willing. Taking it Further: 10 MORE Steps that you can take today to move in the direction of increased health.

This is a continuation of our last email located here:

1. If you are eating organic, grass-fed meat, try not eating meat for the next week or how about instituting meat free Mondays? Or only eat as an occasional side dish rather than your main meal. Watch all movies on the meatrix to help open your eyes, sober your mind but also laugh. It may not be necessary that we continue to cut down our rainforests and slaughter 18 billion animals a year to consume if we don’t need to.
2. If you are having organic dairy products, try switching to rice, nut or even organic soy alternatives such almond milk, cashew cheese or coconut yogurt.
3. If you drink organic wine and it seems habitual, try stopping for a few days/weeks depending on your habit or eliminating one day each week.
4. If you vaporize or still smoke marijuana, try not to do it for a few days/week/or more depending on your habit. Seek out alternatives with shamans and healers where there is intention present, permanent mind-body restructuring and spiritual teaching.
5. If you smoke organic American Spirits, now try herbal cigarettes or chewing on cinnamon sticks.
6. If you drink strong french pressed yerba mate switch to tea bags and green tea. Take your morning ritual to the next level by starting your day with 8 – 16 oz. of warm water, a capful of apple cider vinegar, fresh squeezed lemon and a touch of raw honey. Add a pinch of cayenne or cinnamon for that extra kick.
7. If you eat lots of dates and honey, stick to organic, 100% raw honey and slowly begin to eliminate any dependency on sweeteners. Eat fruits by themselves or in the morning. Sugar/sweets don’t digest on a full stomach.
8. If you are still eating white rice, pasta and flours switch to brown rice and gluten-free products. If you are already gluten-free, trying moving to “live” grains, grains that can be sprouted like quinoa and buckwheat. Take it to an even higher level and make a raw bagel with sprouted buckwheat dough and raw strawberry cream cheese with raw almonds.
9. If you tend to grocery shop at large commercial stores, like Costco or Walmart, try supporting locally owned stores like your local coop and farmers markets for fresh local, organic produce .
10. If you always drive your car to work, try carpooling just once a week or taking the bus or bike.
11. If you watch a lot of tv, try reading a good book that is inspiring and spiritually uplifting. Books are often times the catalyst we need to take that next big life transforming step. OR GO SEE A MOVIE LIKE THE ONE WE ARE MENTIONING BELOW…WE LOVE IT!
12. If you are bored or stuck in a rut, try giving more. The most important thing you can do is to take time one day a week to serve at company you believe in, an inner city program, school or nonprofit. Helping and serving others is the fastest way to help yourself.

As I prepare to make the jump into the next frequency, I have recently thought about the metaphor of parachuting. We know we are ready, it is time to try it, we want the thrill and the internal shift that will follow as the result of our courage… Yet still we want to climb onto the plane holding onto what we have known, only jumping if we know we will land the same, never foregoing our comfort zone. Holding on to the past can be toxic and today, we not need carry the extra burdens and baggage of all we have known. My challenge for all of us: LET’S JUMP! The parachutes are here! Lets hold hands and breathe – 1… 2… 3… Freedom and increased health are waiting. It is time for a shift. Let us look directly at our ego, excuses, attachments and patterns, and kindly ask them to please step aside. LET’S JUMP AND LET’S TRANSFORM without looking back. ARE YOU IN?

When we met with Rainbeau Mars, yoga spokeswoman (pictured), we were a little intimidated. She’s taken her new yoga method, Ra’yoKa, to 24 countries, and rumor has it she’s about to direct a new yoga studio with attached resto in Hollywood (owned by none other than Juliano of Raw).

Turns out she’s charming and relaxed–though her yoga method, a martial arts/yoga fusion, kicked us into the stratosphere:

It takes concentration. Like Shaolin monks, we practiced a rolling Downward Dog with feet “tennis ball distance apart.” Rising up on our heels, we tucked our chins and rolled our chests toward the floor, ending in Cobra, then reversed the movement.

It takes power. We went from basic yoga poses, like Warrior I, into kung fu-style kicks, sword-drawing moves and face blocks.

It takes balance. With Zen focus, we moved from Half-Moon Pose to standing and back, never letting our free foot touch the ground.

And we sweated. “For people who feel they can’t relax, this is sportier,” explains Mars.

We’re over the moon for it.
