Adidas
As the Global Ambassador for adidas women's training I am thrilled to have the opportunity to represent an innovative global brand in their commitment to the sport of yoga. As a result of my years of experience I have seen the ways in which yoga has improved every aspect of my life including my performance in other sports.
The most exciting aspect of my involvement with adidas is the opportunity to work together with the adidas team to develop innovative product concepts and to be a part of global communication initiatives. This spring I'll be traveling to Europe and Asia to promote the Adilibria Yoga and the Techfit Powerweb Yoga apparel lines. I worked and will continue to work with adidas designers to create yoga gear that speak to the different needs of women.

In practicing yoga, wearing the right clothes improves my practice because what I’m wearing is representative of my mood at that particular time. Sometimes I’m really serious and sometimes I just go with the flow. Adilibria and Techfit really address my varying moods when it comes to the practice of yoga and wearing the right gear helps improve my practice. But my favorite item is the yoga ballerina shoes from adidas. It’s feminine, pretty and VERY functional. They’re perfect for using in sleek surfaces because they grip the floor. You can check my photo gallery to see me wearing these shoes. These shoes are unique and I just love them!
I love the adidas “Play Yoga” global campaign because the concept hits at the heart of why yoga has become so popular. Yoga is good for you, but yoga has caught our hearts and minds because it’s fun. Play Yoga also integrates yoga into mainstream sports and how the practice can also enhance one’s own athletic performance level.
I had the wonderful opportunity to teach internationally renowned athletes the benefits of yoga. The routines were designed to target each athlete’s specific sport. In practicing yoga, athletes will actually discover new muscles, learn breathing techniques and prevent injuries. When an athlete has focus, balance, coordination, endurance, stamina and flexibility, which are the benefits of yoga, then they can really improve their overall performance and also help prevent injuries.
Uniting yoga and mainstream sports has got to be one of the most exciting events to happen in sports. This speaks to the evolving consciousness of what it means to stay fit in a world of diversity.
